I couldn’t resist sharing this lovely picture of a Robin surrounded by ivy berries. I’m fascinated by the bumper crop of berries this year – Rowan, Hawthorn and holly bushes laden with fat juicy christmas jewels. Nature is providing in abundance. We now know that there is much that we, as gardeners can do to help it along. I for one am using the dark winter months to plan for a wilder and dare I say weedier year ahead.

This is a little reminder that the club is always on the look out for interesting topics for our meetings and if any of you would like to organise a meeting in 2020 the committee will help to facilitate that in any way we can.
I also want to say a personal very big thank you to everyone who helped, contributed, grew, baked or attended the Flower and Produce show back in September.
We are looking forward to seeing you all for our first meeting of the new decade on 7th January – Claire Ratinon on organic growing. Remember that membership renewals are due and this year you can pay by card is you wish.
Wishing you a very happy christmas.
