The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for the dbg website and here are the facts:
Here’s an excerpt:
600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 5,500 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 9 years to get that many views.
Good of you to post this up for us to enjoy at New Year. We were discussing statistics – in the “lies, damned lies and statistics” sense – over Christmas lunch and the monkeys’ conclusions have a tinge of that. There weren’t 5,500 different people viewing this blog; many of the viewers will have been repeat visitors and members checking event details etc, so it wouldn’t have taken 9 years for there to have been as many different viewers as climbers of Mount Everest. But it makes it sound good! Happy New Year, DIANA ======================================== Message Received: Dec 31 2012, 09:11 PM
